a bicyclist crashes on a popular biking trail then falls down a very steep ravine prompting this dangerous and difficult rescue. it happened at china camp state park in san rafael. kron 4's scott rates walks us through the rescue and shows how that man is doing tonight. this happened around 2:30 sunday afternoon, that's when this intense rescue got underway, i was told the bicyclist fell about 150 feet down, after some how veering off the bike trail he came to rest in a very difficult spot to get at because of that crews had to bring a helicopter and repel a line to the injured biker then watch this, after the injured man was placed on a backboard he and rescuer were hoisted up in to the air and dropped down to a near by parking lot that's where the biker was loaded in to an ambulance and taken to the hospital. fire crews not entirely surprised this happened sot there's a steep ravine that runs alongside a very popular biking trail. this is an area where it had people crashed before. now that bicyclist is in the hospital tonight; he suffered some nasty injuries, but is expected to recover
