(bell tolling) the tower's great bell, is actually it's second bell tolling the hours. the original bell cracked the first time it rang. interestingly, the second bell also cracked, rather than replacing it, they simply rotated the bell, moving the crack, away from where the hammer strikes. and they installed a smaller hammer. the clocks are reportedly, the largest four-faced clocks in the world. designing this incredibly ornate and beautiful tower drove the architect mad literally.
