we're at the big board with steve kornacki and when you should expect the final votes and we have our team spread out this morning from washington to d georgia for special coverage. and go to blaine and steve. steve, control of the senate down to the perdue, ossoff race. ossoff declaring he won. most organizations have not called the race yet. where do we stand? >> it's too close the call. the official designation is ossoff is leading. his margin over perdue sits at 17,000 votes. the vast majority of the vote is in but what we are waiting for? there are a couple of clear pockets. the biggest one is actually i'll show you, it's dekab county. that county has an awful lot to do with why ossoff leads right now. this is an overwhelmingly democratic county. outside atlanta. 80 % plus democratic county. overnight, it was the release of the early vote that came out that pushed ossoff ahead state-wide. the early vote is all done in dekalb county. it looks like a number of mail-in ballots need to be processed there. could be up to 20,000 of those mail-in ballots from that county. again, you can

joining me now, blayne alexander, and steve kornacki at the big board. blayne, you've been tracking these races, what are you seeing on the day of voting compared to the early voting? >> reporter: andrea, first, if you'll forgive me, i'm talking to you over the loud sounds of a get out the vote party that's happening 50 feet from where i'm standing right now, that's what you hear in the background. first, a little bit of a development we just learned, around security and questions of security when it comes to the election. i just confirmed the gbi is investigating, quote, specific threats around today's election. the bureau is not providing a lot of detailed information but we do know that it's something that's been discussed going all the way back to november. in fact here in fulton county, every polling location has an assigned security person, a law enforcement officer. that's not something we've seen in previous elections. so it just kind of underscores how closely this is being watched but just kind of the political climate around all of them. the g

here we go, the one and only steve kornacki at the big board.ake it away. >> ali, we've been talking about warnock taking the lead. and slowly building the lead. we knew overnight, we would get a significant update from dekalb county -- actually some of the county in dekalb county and atlanta. overall county. as ten minutes ago, there were 20,000 votes left to be counted in the county. we got about,0 6,000 of them in and warnock won 95% of them, ossoff also. over 40,000 votes. it's reached the point there's no conceivable way that kelly loeffler is going to watch raphael warnock. also warnock it is going to be clear of that re-call, recount. it's up to a full point. there are still votes left to be counted. reported out in dekalb county may be coming overnight. any votes over dekalb county are only going to pad warnock's lead over loeffler. and it vaulted that in dekalb county for jon ossoff over perdue. and this is where it gets critical. we know warnock has won the first race. the only question is the margin. what about this here. ossoff final

steve kornacki at the big board. also with us someone with close ties to republicans on the hill. a former spokesperson for the republican senate campaign, matt gorman and ellison barber is in downtown d.c. where a pro-trump demonstration is getting under way. blayne, let me start with you. i've got to start with the breaking news that sort of hit about an hour ago. some concerns about threats of the election, polling place threats, is this vote counting threats? do we have any more specific? >> we do, chuck. i have a little breaking news. i spoke with the gbi spokesman who tells me there are ten counts impacted by this threat. we just got some more details from a facebook post put up on the cherokee county sheriff's office. it appears the threats came in the form of an email. an email sent to several county employees threatening several polling locations there in the county. so we do know that's what they are investigating. few other details are coming out from the gbi. here in fulton county, i spoke with a spokesperson who tells me that every polling location around fulton count

let's go back to the big board.n the phone call's potential effect. >> as exactly what week -- that's exactly what we are going to talk about. could suppress the republicans are not here. bill crane joins me now. there is stuff i discovered on the big board. what will this do to getting the vote out? >> suppress the republican turnout, enthusiasm, fundraising, but basically eight weeks of the president talking about georgia being a stolen election, the governor being a fool, the governor needing to resign, the secretary of state -- by senators. i can't say more than that in 30 seconds, but it has been infighting among the republicans. >> here's what i noticed. when i come back here and look at this, 50.1% to 49.9%. it is a tie, but when you click not reporting a significant number of results. fulton, you have less than 0%. but look here, when you go to cherokee county, 10%. 100% in dawson county. a lot of these ring around the metro counties that are very red have gotten closer to completing the count. the big count

and joining us now at the big board, steve kornacki with the latest from georgia. getting down to the final votes in georgia. raphael warnock, right now, he leads by over 35,000 votes statewide. there's been a persistent gap between warnock and jon ossoff, warnock is running more than 35,000 votes ahead of jon ossoff. ossoff is trailing perdue in the statewide count by just over 1,300 votes right now. it's a situation right now where ossoff is looking to the outstanding votes to leapfrog perdue, and to try to get ahead. and the question of, will it be one 0.5%, then this could go to a recount that could delay it a little bit. but that's the story in the ossoff race. in the warnock race, warnock is looking to the outstanding votes to try to build on his lead he has over loeffler. so where are the remaining votes? this is the biggest one, the biggest source of votes by far that's left. about 20,000 votes, a little bit less in dekalb county. you can see how the votes have come in, warnock is getting 83% 2%, ossoff is getting 82.5%. one of the biggest democratic counti
