i don't blame kathryn bigelow. she's not a public servant. she's a filmmaker.y think she made a fantastic film. my criticism lies with the c.i.a. in that they have left "zero dark thirty" as basically the only public record that he have for the hunt in bin laden. now you have jose rodriguez, a proponent of enhanced interrogation techniques or torture saying what was portrayed in the film is not what we did if in the c.i.a. he's not there any more, a and i think it's time that the c.i.a. release everything that they gave kathryn bigelow. she gave the best film she could. we don't pay her salary. we do pay the salary at everyone who works at the c.i.a. my feeling is that they need to set the record straight and give us all of the information that they gave to kathryn bigelow so we can make a determination if they which torture was part of what led to bin laden and so we can see how the torture was conducted. it's portrayed in the movie as if there is no oversight just a rage-filled operations officer and i know from having been an operations officer i would never

katherine bigelow didn't get the nomination for best director. i cannot believe it. a four and a half out of five. incredible film. it's gaining controversy, obviously. the cia is saying torture was not the main element that got us to find osama bin laden. it's just a movie. it's a 10-year period into a two and a half hour film. in that case you're going to have artistic liberties. incredible action film. the last 40 minutes when they storm the compound is one of the most incredible things i've seen. they shoot it at night. it's dark. it looks insane. jessica chastain, who plays the lead, she'll win for best actress, and she has the biggest character of the year. see it in theaters. it was was in new york and l.a. it's now nationwide. four and a half out of five. >> all right, very good. "gangster squad," the other big release this weekend. it was controversial, because they had to change a scene after the shootings at that theater in colorado. tell me your thoughts on this one. >> right. there was a scene initially in the movie where four men walk into a theater and

that has been enough to derail the oscar directing potential for kathryn bigelow.id not get a best director nomination. that's a big deal because pictures usually don't win best picture unless they have a best director nomination and also by the way a best film editing nomination. that matters a lot. >> that is very interesting. but before i let you go, i want to ask that you give us a quick rundown of really what to watch for tomorrow with the golden globes. what should we be keying in on? >> i think we'll look for the best drama category. steven spielberg's "lincoln" is the favorite there and that would make steven spielberg the big favorite to win best director. the globes, unlike the oscars, has a category separate for best comedy or musical, and this year "les miserables" is the leading contender there. the weinstein company's "silver linings playbook," however, is a potential upset in that best comedy or musical category. so we'll see. and coming back to best drama picture, "argo," ben affleck's film, could be the upset win tler. we'll have to see what happen
