i have only been biking twice. i want to thank the coalition members that have dedicated their time teaching me how to ride. peter was my bike coalition tour guide today. we got to see some of the green lanes, the boxes, and we also got to ride in some of the areas where there were not biplanes, and i got to feel how unsafe it was to have trucks and cars trying to jostled around you, and i definitely want to work towards getting lanes that would make someone like me feel safe to ride to work. thank you. only has 1% trip share by bike.antages and the benefits of cycling, very short but, which you can capitalize is the health part, the reduction of health costs because the effect of cycling on health are above expectations. it's nearly all diseases will have less risk of occurring when people have enough physical exercise and all the extra, the ideal means of physical exercise is about half an hour a day, medium-intensive exercise. so it's far better than going to the gym twice a week and then, very intensive sporting for two hours. and what is easier than having this bike trip into your daily commuting? then automatically you have your half an hour exercise and it's been shown in the managementerlands that people who sigh -- netherlands that people who cycle to work have more than people who don't. also the environment there are a lot of things you can capitalize because you don't have to invest on electric cars or transit or whatever to reduce the carbon dioxide, because the emissions of bicycle is zero. there is a

no new bike lanes, no new bike racks. certainly, as we buildout and network of bike ways, we have more people riding bikes. we need to educate more. it is a responsibility question more than it is it an option. we ate knowledge there is more evaluation that can and should be done. we are excited about the investment the mta is making with prop k money in the automatic counters. as you ride your bike around the city, you may pass over these centers. that will help us make an even stronger case for the efficacy and benefit of these programs. finally, i want to speak to one of the projects here that i do not think has been brought to your attention in this presentation, which is the home's own project in natoma. this is an exciting idea where we reshape the environment to discourage people to drive through at speed, rather, to slow down. you can bring your car through a home zone, but you have to move as if you were a pedestrian. this is a good project ever want to applaud the mta for bringing. it will make for much nicer ne

next is the regional bike sharing project. this will deploy 1000 bikes at up to 100 stations along the peninsula corridor. half of those bicycles will be located in san francisco. the funds here are used, sfmta match, to the bay area climate change program. next is the department of the environment employer benefit out rich program. this will continue to average two communities. similar to emergency ride home, this has been supported since 2005. $125,000 program to in prop k funds to match. the department of the environment solar and electrical charging station project. that will provide access for a parking spots. this is one of the projects we are recommending partially funding. the project as submitted exceeded the air district cost effectiveness threshold. after working with staff, we were to the application to the maximum amount, $28,000, so that is what we're recommending. the department of the informant's bike fleet program. this discontinued the program as well as a user survey and evaluation of the fleet usage. this i
