another thing to emphasize is recreational bike sharing is good for san francisco and a strong bike sharing in san francisco will be good for the region. and see the nature of the f ar there's two key indemnities the first is the infrastructure and good afternoon, everyone. how local the administration and transportation will be done vs. a centralized model. everybody don't their own thing a nate's that's not the thing to look at we want to see the standards here. on the other extreme is the air district the regional district controls the funding to make sure the system st. is moving forward and the hybrid model in between there the second access is who's going be to operating open a local level. there's examples of this around the country the nonprofit administer we spin-off the nonprofits who goes out and operates it. the second one the same nonprofit administering but a private vendor who operates it. and then there's a totally private model which is what new york and miami have done you allow them to go into a private entity to make sure it's meeting the context >> who is in new york an

it will be coupled with a westbound bike lane on howard street and other north-south bike path along the other streets going from second to the embarcadaro. as you can see here. we looked at other cycle tracks that have been implemented throughout the city. as you can see here, here are some examples and things that we looked at. so, here's a sample, a sample block. the cycle track will run the entire length from second to the embarcadaro on the south side of the street, will be treated a little bit differently on essex street because that's a main bay bridge access point. at each of the intersections, though, there will be separate signals to try to limit, limit the bike, vehicle -- any potential bike-vehicle conflicts. the cycle track as it is developed and as you can see here will be at street with a buffer zone between the cycle track itself and the adjacent parallel parked cars. the parked cars will act as a vertical barrier between the bicycles and the vehicle traffic. this cycle track differs from the approved schematic designs only in the elimination of a westbound vehicle la

right now our anti bike theft unit utilizes social media to return stolen bikes and conducts bait bike operations we put pictures of stolen bikes on twitter so victims can see if they can identify the bikes. we educate the public regarding locking in the course and general bicycle prevention tips. the unit that played a key roll in establishing a free bicycle program that's at wwwsave bikes daum as far as the staffing. at park station this is day watch staffing we have two beat officers that work from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 12 radio car officers working from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. we have 4 beat officers that work 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and our park officers work from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. i mentioned the homeless reach officers they work from 4 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon and our bicycle abatement officers work from 11 in the morning to 9:00 p.m. the swing watch we have to beat officers on the watch they work from 2 in the afternoon to midnight we have plan clothes officers that work from 2 in the afternoon to midnight and a 15 radio car officers that work from 4:00 p.
