: hi, i'm bill o'reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. bonuses for pinheads. that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. now we learn that the mortgage agencies freddie mac and fannie mae in business with the federal government paid almost $13 million in bonuses to their top executives in 2010. that's an outrage because those agencies currently owe the american taxpayer, us, all of us, $141 billion. let me repeat. fannie mae and freddie mac owe us 141 billion and dolled out 13 million in bonuses last year to their guys. this is why the federal government is out of control. fannie and freddie are not government agencies per se, they are private companies but they receive support from the federal government. taxpayer money in subsidies and loans. white house correspondent ed henry asked jay carney about it yesterday. >> there is a report that fanny and freddie, particularly freddie mac, their top five officers got some bonuses in 2010. these are institutions that obviously got taxpayer bailouts

: hi, i'm bill o'reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. the failure of the occupy wall street movement, that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. in the beginning there was some sympathy towards the protesters who believed the federal government should take action against financial institutions that cheat in the face of the terrible recession. that message is a powerful one. so the occupy wall street movement got some traction. but the more we saw and heard, the more fair minded americans came to believe that the occupiers were not interested in legitimate issues so much. many of them simply want to blow up the economic system. in addition, some of the behavior was and is reprehensible. all kinds of violent crime. all kinds of provocation against the police. awful kinds of depraved behavior in general. this picture taken by the "new york post" shows hypodermic needles taken out of the new york city site. isn't that nice? i don't believe we saw any hypodermic needles at the tea party protest

this bill isn't basically a jobs bill. and it puts a halloween mask on it to say that's what it is basically. the gentleman from california talks about manufacturing. the president struggled to save the automobile sector, the domestic sector of this country over the opposition of many republicans, including what is now apparently the leading nominee for the republican presidential nomination. if we really want to talk about jobs, what we should do is turn down the previous question on this bill so we can bring up the currency bill. this will put republicans to the test on a real jobs bill. the estimate is by fred burkston, the passage of legislation like this, changing the chinese undervaluation of their currency, will create a million jobs. no one in authority has said this bill will create any jobs. and paul krugman, his estimate is 1.5 million jobs. and you talk about bipartisanship. this currency bill is truly bipartisan, so it will also put to the test whether you believe in bipartisanship when it comes to a real jobs

: hi, i'm bill o'reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. joe paterno and doing the right thing. that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. all americans should be horrified and a bit sad by the situation unfolding at penn state university. 84-year-old legendary football coach joe paterno has been fired after 46 years at penn state for failing to take aggressive action against one of his former assistants whom a grand jury has indicted on 40, 40 counts of child sexual abuse. paterno says he notified college officials when he was told. jerry sandusky was seen molesting a child but he did not call the cops. and the coach should know that is unacceptable. very simple. if you see or you hear about any child being physically abused in any way, you have an obligation, an obligation to aggressively protect that child. that means that penn state assistant coach who testified he did see the 67-year-old sandusky molesting a little boy in a locker room shower should have immediately stopped that abuse, wa
