we're going to bring in bill daley, former fbi investigator. bill, you are joining us now. >> good to be here. >> kimberly: we have covered a lot of cases over the past 12 years together. what strikes you from this particular crime scene and investigation? >> so far, there is very little to go on. this person decided to shoot from the outside, gaining entry or continuing to shoot from the outside. the big question will be whether this was a very personally motivated issue, meaning and one-on-one type of incident where he had an issue with a person inside. or was it the organization as a whole? if we find out he did not go in and look for individuals, than it would it could be something against the organization. we are not too sure what is in this person's mind that at all to even suggest at this point a true motive. some of those things start to ring out to us. i think obviously some of the things, kimberly, you have covered before. investigators are going to start to quickly, i guess the positive news here if they have someone to interview righ

next morning to go to chicago, and the son of the then-mayor of chicago, richard daley, the son bill daley, who was obama's chief of staff for a couple of years, says that that next day, his dad was 70 prsprs chance that his dad was going to endorse bobby kennedy for president. there was no more powerful establishment politician in america then than mayor of chicago richard daley. i think if daley had endorsed, we had guys in philadelphia who were ready to go all out for bobby kennedy. i think bobby kennedy would not just have become the democratic nominee, but there was nobody in america who understood richard nixon's vulnerabilities better than the guy who eight years before had led his brother's successful campaign against richard nixon. and i think it's not too much of a what if to say that bobby kennedy would have been the nominee, would have been the president, and would have from day one, he was a guy who was too passionate and too impatient to wait to try to get things done. from day one, he would have made a difference. mr. green: i was going to if you did not mention that at some

let's bring in bill daley, former fbi investigator. thank you for joining us.do you make of those details, quickly, as we just heard them, is there anything that jumps out at you as particularly significant? >> well, unfortunately not much in the way of details regarding motive or any of the other circumstances around the forensic investigation that is ongoing. one thing jumped out at me was we find maybe a positive theme here which is there was active shooter training done by the police, so they'll be able to respond quickly, they're saying within a minute or so to the location to apprehend the suspect. so i think there's a positive note to be taken from this, and maybe one people should consider as they look across the country that people were prepared, people looking at how to position themselves if there ever is an incident is the best way to be on guard, as they say, the handouts by homeland security and fbi is either run, hide or fight. these are things that individuals need to take into consideration during these incidents. as time goes on, we will learn
