bill evans? >> why don't we take a look down the beaches, shall we, we have a northwest wind coming across main street, the boardqualm and the beach there. there's our buoy out there. we're looking at a northwest wind flow. there are some flurries that are around binghamton. we're looking at 33 and 34 around newark and a west- northwest wind at 28 miles per hour. that is really kind of cold here. so the next seven hours, we're looking at the temperature getting to about 36 this afternoon money that's going to be cold. windchills will be in the 20s, but we'll have a lot of sunshine. so have on your sunglasses. her future's so bright, she has to wear shades. >> there's something going on over here. the shades, i don't know in that will help us figure out what this is. first of all, 46, we had originally reported something going on right in mount olive by mount olive road. in addition to that we have 80 eastbound and emergency right lane repairs. we can't get confirmation if this 80 problem and rout

we begin with bill evans. timing it out. >> you draw a line from the hudson river and goat east. that is where the snow is occurring. over to the lower east side. 32 degrees with the snow falling. as we go into the afternoon, we will have snow showers around the area. first, we have this winter weather advisory in the five boroughs. and nassau, westchester, -- a winter storm warning in effect island and new haven and new london. that is for higher snowfall amounts. coastal flooding, warnings from north shore, long island -- and westchester -- and on the jersey shore. until 10:00 tonight. this is for the second high tide cycle. we will be seeing another round of this flooding later on this evening and tonight -- around the second high tide cycle. if you take the hudson river -- down the jersey shore and go east -- that is pretty much where the snow is going to stay. sitting here along 684 -- this is 287 -- it is a long 95, to merritt parkway. some fair amount of snow falling. the next storm to affect us tomorrow is back here in the ohio valley. we will talk about that. for the aft

meteorologist bill evans. >> we do have some issues today where you are probably going to see a shot at some rain at some point. there's a little fog on the jersey shore and around the area airports. heather's going to talk about that. we have cameras looking southward. so we'll be looking at a shot at some showers today. the next seven hours, we'll be looking at temperatures dropping. it's going down when we hit our high temperature this morning. midnight. temperatures dropping. by the time we get to the afternoon, there may be sunny breaks mixed in, but temperatures start falling into tonight. 20s tomorrow. i'll explain in just a moment. heather's looking at the airports for you right now. how's it going? >> i was checking with la guardia. la guardia. has the most flights canceled this morning and the most delays as well. or jfk, you want to get in touch with your individual carriers. 4, 5 and 6 trains as f.a.s.t. track repairs. long island railroad is anticipating possible service changes. cancellations, delays, nothing as of yet, but this is something you'll want to keep in mind

meteorologist bill evans in the weather center with a look at his accuweather forecast. bill. >> you are actually exactly right, dave, as we look at what's happening at noontime, though, it is a pretty afternoon. we've got temperatures that have been warming up into the 30s now and the temperature at this hour 37. our normal average afternoon high this time of the year is about 41. and we're going to get very close to that. it's 35 around staten island, it's 36 in riverdale, 36 around whitestone, queens and you see to the north about 39 in poughkeepsie where there's a lot of sun out right now. west wind will tend to dry about 10, 12, 9 miles per hour. and we still have this flood advisory for long island sound and the western part of the sound, and then down the jersey shore here until 3:00. that's coming off the high tide here and the astronomical high tide has been around for a couple of days. still there's some flurries here on the north shore of long island and out toward fire island. a couple of flurries up here to the north. we'll be finding ourselves looking at tem
