let's get right to meteorologist bill henley. talk about his first alert forecast. bill, it's warm, too. >> it really is. look at these numbers. they are much above yesterday's numbers when we saw readings drop into the 30s in south jersey at 60 degrees this morning. 57 for the lehigh valley. the cool spot, pennsylvania suburbs at 56 degrees and at the shore, near 60 degrees. the shore is near 60 degrees and we'll see a nice warmup this morning and this afternoon, the temperatures take off, near 80 degrees for philadelphia. but look at that, showers and a chance of some thunderstorms in the area. the clouds will be moving in but the temperatures will warm up after some sunshine this morning. though wet weather, not here yet. we're watching those showers to the west. they've moved into western pennsylvania. that's some steady light rain that's move into the pittsburgh area. there are some breaks in the precipitation. it will be on and off for us during the day today. and some areas may even see some of this into the weekend. you can see it with the seven-day forecast

let's get right to meteorologist bill henley with his first alert forecast. talk about the rain and the warm temperatures, bill. >> an umbrella is a good idea. you won't need the heavy coat, not this morning. the temperatures are warm. it is just a light rainfall so far for most of the area. we're seeing showers in delaware and south jersey on the light side. there's one area that is coming down heavier. that one cell is moving off to the northeast, heading towards egg harbor right now. the rainfall is falling at a rate of an inch and a third an hour. that's a good clip, coming down fairly hard there. it's not going to last long. no flood threat there. 65 degrees in doylestown. the 60s, everybody is in the 60s this morning. roxborough, south philadelphia, northeast philadelphia, everybody's getting a warm start. we will see even warmer temperatures as the day goes on. to start with, be holding steady at 9:00. 67 degrees. the wind will beç increasing. that will maintain our temperatures on the warm side even with clouds and a chance of showers. there should be

nbc 10 first alert meteorologist bill henley is here. bill, i heard you mention earlier there's a chance that game might be in jeopardy? >> yeah, we're still expecting to see showers this eching in wilmington and in philadelphia too, and steadier rain moving in well before game time at just after 6:00. good thing they have the infield covered. our entire area is covered by clouds. that is how it's been all morning, but we're starting to see a few rain drops on the lens. there's one. just some light rain moving past the nbc 10 studios. but there's steady rain in the western suburbs and northeastern pennsylvania now. bensalem seeing some of that light rain, belmar, new jersey, and steady rain pushed into bucks county. but look what's on the way. look at that line of some heavier downpours. this is moving through the baltimore area. and it's moving fairly quickly. moving to the northeast at about 40 miles an hour. there are some heavy downpours. the rainfall rate is close to three inches an hour, so we'll see some of that move into the area
