joining me now is republican congressman bill johnson of ohio, supporter of the health care bill who serves on the energy commerce committee as well as the budget committee which will be marking up the bill on thursday. congressman, i want to start with simple stuff. do you know how many people in your district are on the exchanges? >> well, i can tell you how many people in my district, chris, are on medicaid expansion because you know medicaid expansion was a big part of what governor john kasich did. it's about 700,000 people in ohio that's on medicaid expansion and i'm going to make dagon sure that those people are not thrown under the bus and the bill we've got, the bill moving forward, that's not going to throw them under the bus. >> >> representative, do you know how many of the nokes in the mid-cade expansion are in your district? >> i've got about 721,000 people in my district -- i can't give you an exact number and i don't think anyone can but i can tell you in a district like mine, rural appalachia where the average income is just a little over $30,000 a year, the preponde

let's talk about it with elia johnson and charlie hurt, columnist with the washington times, also a fox news contributor. charlie, this bill hasn't been scored yet by the congressional budget office, so, how can the two leaders of those two communities be so confident that's going to reduce costs? >> obviously, this is been the problem from the beginning. taking that away is going to be a very difficult thing. people are complaining that anything you do at this point is going to be obamacare light. they do have a point about it. it's obviously not going to take away all of those things and obamacare extended. putting up some sort of pressures on obamacare to encourage cost savings and things like that is at least a step in the right direction. i think it's a bit of a misnomer to call it obamacare light. you're right, once he gets scored and once we see with the pricing is going to be, then we'll get a better idea of how members in the house are going to feel, how happy they'll be with this. my suspicion -- no matter what they come up with, it's really going to be hard to support. at least it will be better than obamacare.

johnson. very good morning to you. you're proposing this private members' bill that would decriminalise abortion. that report. why do you think now is the right time to do this? first of all, it's a ten—minute rule bill. it's only going to cover england and wales. it's about decriminalisation, it's not about deregulation. even if this were to go forward, there would bea this were to go forward, there would be a range of laws and regulations around abortion and so, the concerns that people are raising about sex selective abortion or very late abortions, they would still be covered by regulation and laws. this is about taking away the fact that a woman and anyone who assists a woman in aring an abortion can be sent to prison for life. the 67 act, which you've talked about in your package actually allows abortion in certain circumstances, but underpinning that isa circumstances, but underpinning that is a very old act, the 1861 act, which says a woman and anyone who assists can go to prison for life. that's the bit i want to remove. just to be clear, you'll have heard in the piece there, the concern
