as bill karins told us yesterday, despite farmers planting the largest corn crop in 75 years in statese indiana and kentucky, more than 90% of that crop is now in jeopardy. as farmers rationed corn for feed, live stock and ethanol, the shortage could push up prices of almost everything we buy in the grocery store. here now to give us a sense of how long this is going to last, if there's any help on the way, bill karins. what are we looking at here? >> i learned a lot about corn this week, because the big topic. if we had a drought like this, say 20 years ago it would have been so much worse. a lot of this corn is now genetically engineered to fight and be persistent against dprout. that's why it's not as earth-shatteringly horrible as it could be. but regardless it only is so good to a certain point. this is the drought map across the country. and this was updated every thursday morning at about 8:30. so we'll get the new update tomorrow and expect the colors to spread. the yellows minor drought, the red and the dark red is where the drought is the worst. that is now spreading right up
