let's get a check on your weather now with nbc meteorologist bill karins. morning, bill. >> good morning to you, chris. dangerous weather overnight. a lot of people did not get a good night's sleep through kansas, oklahoma, and in texas. because these storms were rolling through some big cities overnight. the storm systems also producing blizzard conditions in denver. one severe thunderstorm watch in eastern oklahoma. we had 41 tornadoes reported yesterday. this is november. very unheard of. and some of those were huge. some of those were wedge tornadoes. and you can see some of the edges of them, it was right as the sun was setting. that's why we didn't get a lot of great video of them. november tornadoes are dangerous. we're very fortunate we didn't have any fatalities or injuries last night. so the worst of the storms just rolled through the dallas area. severe thunderstorms now apply are going from dallas to terrell, also near plano. fort worth still has some heavier rains but starting to clear out a little bit. here's the radar from tulsa to mcallister

let's get a check on your weather now with nbc meteorologist bill karins, who is back in the states. ill, good morning. >> good morning to you, chris. and rain is the story here, too. yesterday we had too much too fast in areas of western atlanta. they had some serious flooding problems there. it has cleared up now but those thunderstorms did produce some problems. just keep an eye on that. here's some of those pictures of that rain. look at the stuff coming off the roof. this was pretty torrential stuff, about six to twelve inches in the streets. the storm system that produced tornado, a blizzard, those pictures i just showed you, is now pushing to the east coast. so now it's going to be one more day of the storm, then we'll be done with it. so the forecast, travel delays are possible today from new york to philadelphia, baltimore, d.c., especially at the airports later on this afternoon. and even down in florida, with some thunderstorms. so here's a closer look at the radar. columbia, south carolina, just saw some heavy rain. that is now going to try to push up towards the raleigh a

. >>> meteorologist bill karins is here with the latest weather report. >> this storm system will cause a lot of problems during the day. hope you had a fantastic weekend. this system is over northern arizona producing snow in utah, heavy in southwest colorado and as it heads out into the central plains the ingredients are there for a severe weather outbreak. about 13 million people at risk of severe weather. the enhanced risk includes oklahoma city, dallas and all the way over towards ableeb, texas. it will be a late night event for dallas and oklahoma city and the possibility of tornados is greatest here right near the red river. as far as damaging winds go, i think more for san antonio and houston, that's your concern. as far as the winter weather goes, winter symptom warnings in northern new mexico and blizzard watch for denver, towards pueblo. near i-25 up to a foot to two feet of snow in a few spots and denver with the gusty winds you're under the blizzard watch, probably a blizzard warning later on this evening. east coast no problems whatsoever today. all the issues in the mount

meteorologist, bill karins is watching all of this. >> we could see widespread power outages, and possible tornados. denver just went over to snow. you're going to wake up to a cominch com couple inches on the groupd and as we go throughout the morning commute. s and we have winter weather advisories for denver and winter storm warnings just north of denver. and that red is where a blizzard warning and that will be the worst of it as we go throughout the later portions of the day. and higher snowfall amounts, and as you droiv ive out on safety, we could see as much as nine inches of snow. and the winds should be bute 31 to 50 miles per hour. that's enough to knock down trees. we expect widespread power outages in nebraska and even southern portions of minnesota and we have to talk about later today and that will be the severe weather portion and i'll have more on that ailate a little later in the show. we you can see the temperature contrast. colorado, wyoming, nebraska and the warm air out ahead of it and that's why we'll have possibility of severe weather with damaging winds from texas t

bill karins joining us. >>> and that was the case yesterday, 40 tornado reports. thankfully, they're mostly in rural areas of western kansas and north rnt ern portions of texas and oklahoma. these storms are going to be racing from tulsa back down through the dallas fort worth area and the tornado threat, at least for the time being, is over. and denver still under a blizzard warning and that will continue this morning. interstate 76 southward is where the worst of that will be. and a lot of lightening along this line and going through the fort worth area and soon for dallas and same for tulsa and then push through eastern oklahoma and into arkansas this afternoon. this storm system will regenerate this afternoon, get more moisture, heavy rains, louisiana and into tennessee and enhanced risk from little rock to alexandria. for additional tornados this afternoon. now a closer look at your day ahead. >> the dalish area, worse of your weather is right now. and already raining hard now and continuing from chicago to indianapolis. that's a pretty good size tornado outb

bill karins here to tell . >>> the storm system in the west, will be the storm that we have to watch. it's going to spread a wide area of snow across the rockies, especially idaho and wyoming is probably going to get the heaviest. and eveually some of this will head to denver on thanksgiving day. snow into the northern rockies wednesday and into the plains on thursday. wednesday, the busy travel day the blue is the snow and starting to spill into the plains late in the day. i don't expect a lot of big travel delays at the airports or the roads on wednesday but into thanksgiving day as that storms goes from the rockies to the central plains, this is where the problems will be especially at denver, oklahoma city, and we could have a an icy mess, even an ice storm on thanksgiving day. and northern texas and into western oklahoma could be the travel problem spot on thanksgiving day. now a closer look at your day ahead. so, today is the calm before the storm in many areas of the central plains. so, if you can, travel now. and areas of texas look good >> it's crazy it's going to be warmer i
