shaw and all the other luminaries. i came across a quote from new yorker writer bill buford guy. i like to read he was he was a fiction editor in new yorker. and it sums up i think both although it's about gellhorn. it sums up miller and gellhorn reading martha gellhorn for the first time is the staggering experience. she's not a travel writer or a journalist or a novelist. she's all of these things and one of the most eloquent witnesses of the 20th century. so you're going to be treated today to the illuminations of two really extraordinary writers the you have the introductions in the brochure. i'm not going to go into a long introduction. i'll just say that how i stumbled upon them. i was in london in 2015 and went to the exhibit. that our friend here organized at the hillary organized at the imperial war museum. only miller. and i had known miller before but this was a stunner and then i picked up the book, you know a woman's war and it was just fabulous. it was so beautifully done first of all based on photographs that have been hidden for years in the attic of farley farm a
