and joining us now is bill stanton, is a former new york city police officer. when you when you watch this video and when you see what officers were doing and you think about the children, the teachers that will killed during that time i know i want to jump out of my seat. i was yelling at the tv trying to urge these officers into action. you have been in their shoes as an officer, what is your reaction, what do you see? >> well i am going to give the benefit of the doubt to the officers and say, this isn't so much a courage issue, because you have to think it is the lack of courage that they are not going in. i'm going to go more to a lack of training, and leadership. that is what i saw. because while i am all for getting tactical intelligence and making a plan, once you go from a barricade issue, to tactical shooting issue, you go in. when you hear those shots you know, especially when they are being directed toward schoolchildren, you go in, and you do what you need to do. and that wasn't done. and so, there was lack of communication, lack of leadership, and
