away now, but the rain is lingering in some locations, not cutting across northern delaware towards billya couple of additional showers up in pennsylvania. the main burst of showers and storms already moving out. that makes us wonder what is ahead for the mother's day weekend. may is a huge month for big weather weekends. mother's day, then preakness and memorial day. it looks like the first one rolling in does have a chance for some wet weather although it will not be a disaster. we are talking about a 20% chance of scattered showers, especially in the morning, and especially to the south of baltimore. some folks will probably get some rain on mother's day. it is interesting that today while we were very normal in the afternoon, the morning was a record tying 40 degrees. the last time it was that chilly was back in 1925. that is only 9 degrees below normal. very high amounts of pollen, likely to continue through the weekend. over to the eastern shore, most temperatures in our area are ranging from about 55 to 60. a little chillier out in the mountains, 46 at oakland, 48 at frostburg. com
