i mean, aside from billy graham, it's hard to name a conservative christian leader who's been aroundeople come and go. we don't have a pope francis. we don't have, you know, john paul, who has written very extensively and eloquently on the environment. so in that leadership vacuum, especially in the more conservative parts of the church, our political leaders step in. people who share values with us. the media steps in, people who will say the things that we agree with in terms of you know abortion, gun control, immigration, things like that. so i think it's a matter of we are being told things by people who don't like the solutions to climate change, and have decided that it's a lot better and it's a lot smarter to deny the reality of the problem than to acknowledge it exists, but say you don't want do anything about it. so we have people, for example, like bob inglis. probably every politician when they're first elected, say, to congress, they might be walked into a room and shown a picture of bob inglis and said, let me tell you what happened to bob. he, very conservative person o

that for quite some time and the idea came to them after they had written a very great book on billy graham and they realize the degree to which the presidents talk to the ex-presidents and how much fat club helped shape the presidency itself and that gave them the idea to explore the president's club into faraway and it was a very modern india -- idea of understanding the president because we had to get to the 21st century for there to be enough longevity and for practical reasons for this to be possible. what they found was presidencies were made stronger. sometimes challenged by people inside this club. what was interesting about it is you had a dozen characters all of whom had relationships with each other going towards the past and towards the future so the challenge in editing this book was how to structure it and if you look at how the book is built, we have an introduction to certain key partnerships all along the way because it helps the reader keep track of who the characters are, helps to move along chronologically while honoring history and the relationships as they actually hap

and i asked and they said, one person has and that's billy graham. well, i knew i was in pretty good company and i figured the good lord had something he wanted me to say. and i didn't know what it was until the morning of the prayer breakfast. and i knew it struck a chord but i didn't expect it to be so deep and abiding. and what has happened is that all of those people who have given up on america are starting to think that maybe they're not the only ones who feel that way. maybe there is some logic and some common sense. maybe there is hope. and that's what i represent to a lot of people. i think there are a lot of people who could represent that same thing. and i'm very much hoping that one of those people will come along soon, you know, who really understands the constitution, who understands freedom, what true freedom is all about, who understands how to empower people, who understands economics and the importance of taking the heavy foot of government off the neck of business and industry, and who understands that this is, in fact, a judeo chr
