blackstock. she is an msnbc medical contributor. dr. blackstock, thank you for being with us.ts there were maskless. they were asked to show proof of vaccination but they did not have to take a test or show evidence they had taken one recently. what lesson should we learn from this outbreak? how should large events be handled moving forward? >> good morning, jonathan. yes, clearly covid is not done with us. what we're seeing is with this highly transmissible variant that we still need to put covid protection measures in place. you would think at a gridiron event you would think they would have the resources to do so. at the very least everyone should have been tested on the day of event to ensure safety and, you know, we know many of the workers were wearing masks but many attendees were not. we have about 10% of people who have attended so far have been infected. so i think that we have relaxed those protection measures a little bit too soon, but we do have what we call the tools. we have the tools to keep everyone safe. we need to make sure that these events don't happen aga
