let's take the blake masters allegation. there were two centers that went into box three were actually co-mingled with the ballots that went through the tabulator. here is the thing, we can absolutely address this and we will in those two instances we know exactly how many people checked in at that vote center. we can then check the total number of ballots that are left there, either tabulated or in box three and determine if they're the same. we can segregate those out and make a determination and best thing of all is we will do this with a republican or democrat observer to watch this to make sure everything checks out. again, the issue is every one of those votes is going to be counted. the people cast at the vote center. the only issue is where they're being tabulated. they're at the vote center or here at central count. further more, as to blake masters suggestion that we should wipe the slate clean and start over again that is simply not allowed for under arizona law. additionally, the suggestion by the republican nati

things have turned dramatically better for blake masters in arizona. kari lake seems to be the sure winner the gubernatorial race. and adam laxalt is the odds on favorite in his senate race. we expect an updated vote during this hour. stay tuned. if we're able to make a call in this hour, we will. fortunately in arizona, nevada, california and a few other locations all around the country, the vote count is going on again and again in perpetuity. could take days or weeks. and in the very cold state of alaska that i love, we may not know anything until around thanksgiving. this is insanity and it's not okay. five weeks after florida suffered a devastating category four hurricane and we're still praying for our friends in southwest, florida, the state managed with so much damage to count all 7.5 million ballots as marco rubio said in five hours. in clark county in nevada, officials are still in the process of counting a mere 50,000 remaining ballots. 48 hours after the election. today the county registrar just said that it will take several more days to c

blake masters took a very conservative position on. and for that matter that goes across the board, nevada and elsewhere as well, right? >> no question about it it was such a huge issue. for masters himself he sort of tried to rewrite his position on abortion. he took a very strong position on anti-abortion stance during the republican primary, but he tried to recalibrate that stance during the general election as he was getting hammered on this issue. and you see this all across the country. republicans in nevada, in pennsylvania, georgia and elsewhere being hit hard by democrats who believe that this is an issue that could galvanize particularly suburban women voters who are essential in all these key races. republicans ultimately decided for the most part to sidestep issues about this, instead believing that they put all their eggs in the basket over attacking joe biden, trying to tie the democrats to joe biden tying him to inflation, gas prices. it did not rank as high as economic issues. they gambled those issues would carry them

it goes to mark kelly, a democrat, the incumbent, defeating blake masters.ey to all of this was maricopa county, it always is in arizona. and if you've been following this drama all week, we were talking about there is a very particular type of ballot in maricopa county, we were all waiting on it. it was the ballots that were hand delivered by voters to polling places on election day. there's a whole bunch of maricopa county, there's almost 300,000 of. the republicans have been pinning their hopes on that type of ballot. they were saying, it's a very republican-leaning voter, who tends to do that, who takes their ballot in person to the pole places on election day. that it happened in 2020, they said it was gonna happen again in 2022, and it was blake masters was gonna go past mark kelly. we got a big batch of about 75,000 votes, many of them, that exact same type of ballot on describing, and not only did blake masters not do as well as expected, mark kelly actually carried them. mark kelly actually won more votes, significantly more votes from that batch th

it was how blake masters was going to fall past mark kelly. we had about 75,000 votes, many of them that exact type of ballot i am describing. not only to blake masters not do as well as expected, mark kelly actually carried them. he actually won more votes, significantly more votes from that batch then blake masters did. with that, you do not see a path for blake masters to catch up in the senate race and so markedly hold on to the senate race. at a significantly, in arizona, what i just described, that dynamic i just described, changes the outlook of perhaps for the governor's race. here you have democrat katie hobbs leading republican katie lake. we have seen that katie hobbs has been leading by a smaller margin, about 80,000 fewer votes than mark kelly. we have been looking at this race and saying, that china batch of votes in maricopa county, if it is a republican that votes, it may not be enough for blake masters to overtake mark kelly. it certainly could be enough for kari lake to overtake katie hobbs with the numbers that we saw from t

and i told you that blake masters, he's looking at 60%. well, who got more votes in that batch counted overnight? it was actually the democrat, mark kelly, who got 55%. so in the ballots that were counted last night, blake masters not hitting the numbers he would need there. the same thing was true in the south in pima county where there were 13,000 votes counted last night. within that batch, mark kelly, not blake masters, got 67%. so if you're looking at this, and you're mark kelly, you're thinking, oh, that's a good thing. but on the other hand, i've given you the one hand, the other, now back to both hands here. we just doen't know. the remaining 560,000 votes, what that will look like. in arizona, historically, the later the ballots have arrived, the more republican they have been. we're waiting until tonight to see that batch, what that looks like, to get a sense of what direction this might be headed. but wanted to show you the path for blake masters if it goes a certain way. >> breaking it down. we'll be watching in the coming days

blake masters is getting 68% of those votes. okay, so what about the other two hundred and fifty thousand or so votes? that are not day? where are they coming from and what do we know about those ballots? >> i'm glad you asked. i have my spreadsheet here. >> let me refer to it. take the ten thousand. seventeen thousand are those draw three . remember when people showed up so excited to vote because they're so ready for change. they got in line before the polls open only to find out that at more than a third of our polling locations in maricopa county, the machines weren't working. the tabulators were broken. they didn't have enough toner in the printers. it was just a fiasco. and so they were telling people, come on in a vote, we'll take your ballot, we'll put it in drawer three and we'll bring it downtown. to count it. >> so there's seventeen thousand votes that were in drawer three that are left to count. we have one hundred and eighty seven thousand early votes. these are just mail in ballots that were sent earlier, whether i

and blake masters, the republican, so to pick up 33,292. so, you can see here they have to change their. but 9300 votes. that differs about 9300 votes. cal is going to net more than 9000 votes here. he's going to add to a statewide lead with that. so if you had 93, clinical inside the statewide tally there. again, it doesn't yet reflect what we just got out of maricopa county. the numbers i'm giving you are from the maricopa county recorders office. they put them up on the website, and they get put into our system. that is why there's a bit of a delay there. this is going to bring mark kelly statewide lead up to almost 114,000 votes. that is what is going to say that when this update comes in. so, this is very significant because, again, maricopa is the biggest in the state. they released a big batch last night, and it boosted mark kelly. they're talking releasing another big batch tonight. they tested, 75,000 votes. again, you can see kelly's lead climb statewide because of it. and we're getting to a point, with this release from maricopa

moving on to arizona where mark kelly leads blake masters. you can see the top left-hand side of the screen from a 53% of the vote. it a large part of maricopa county, which is the largest county in arizona. it is also where blake masters would find a great number of his votes. so, this is not over by a long shot. you can see in the early running that mark kelly has a substantial lead. we are being told by arizona officials, we may not get a call in this one until in the morning. in nevada democratic sena senator catherine cortez masto leads adam laxalt. this one is kind of the same situation. 54% of the vote in an 60% of the voting clark county, that is nevada's largest county and also in 40% left. that 40% left in clark county is more than the rest of the counties put together. so there was a lot of votes to be counted. washoe county in the fourth which is reno and some of the outer line counties expected to go towards black salt. this thing will get closer and finally in wisconsin, ron dimmick ron johnson, mandela barnes and the old fighte

so here remember blake masters just underperformed.e the republican candidate is coming in ahead, but so far in the county she's been getting 56% to 43%. so it's below what you're performing. if you want to come back to the statewide numbers, katie hobbs is 26,646 ahead. so she, quote, unquote, loses here but not by a dramatic amount. so the question is, is it enough? and that's why in this situation here if you're katie hobbs, you'd rather win every installment of votes. but in a republican county, it's not horrible. obviously you always want to win. so let me move it out of the way and show you why this matters right now. here is where we are, 51 if you round up to 49. this is an incredibly competitive race. the bulk of the votes still out here in maricopa county, which is 60%, maybe 62% of the statewide move. she's running 52-47 here. kari lake needs to improve the statewide number. and the way to do that is to improve your number in the largest pool of votes. and that's home to her. she was a tv anchor here in the phoenix area for

look at mark kelly and blake masters.they appeal to folks for different reasons and indifferent ways. we could have a long focus group of folks here on why they chose one candidate compared to the other. especially when you look at all four candidates on the republican side. each of those individuals as an election denier. they spent the final three weeks campaigning around the state together as a quartet. look at what took place last night. every night, maricopa county officials are releasing about results. last night was that consequential one. it indicated whether blake masters and mark finchem had any shot at closing their gaps. what you saw was that the folks were brought mail ballots, they hand-delivered them in person on election day. they did not seek u.s. republican as those individuals hoped and thought that they would. that being said, we are getting another ballot drop here tonight. kari lake's team is hopeful that they are going to skew slightly back in her favor. when you are looking at about 400,000 ballots

but blake masters is still not conceding. with kelly's win, democrats and republicans are now locked in a neck and neck tie in the u.s. senate with only two races undecided. in nevada, a race between republican adam la can xalt and catherine cortez masto. clark county is due to hold a press conference this hour. in georgia, a runoff election between democratic senator warnock and republican herschel walker still weeks away. cnn has teams on the ground in those key battleground states covering all the latest developments in these critical elections. let's go first to kyunglah in phoenix. what was his message to supporters? >> reporter: well, basically he's responding to the various news projections, including cnn projecting he has won the senate seat defeating republican blake masters. and he met with supporters earlier today. in just the last couple of hours, telling supporters that he appreciated their work. that this was a long-fought campaign, a very expensive campaign as well. with the stakes very high. that being control

you can see this over blake masters, nearly a hung over 120,000 votes. nearly six points as well. six percentage points. so i think that really raises the stakes for what we are expecting, a little bit less than now. sometime around 10 pm eastern hour. maricopa county, is expected to release 80,000 more votes. 80,000 votes is the expected size of the release. but what is more significant about what is coming out of maricopa county tonight, is that finally, for the first-time, this very specific type of ballot, this type of boat that we've been talking about, if you've been following the last few days, we're finally gonna get a look at. and that's the votes that were dropped off in person on election day at polling places because there's been a question here -- we've been seeing mark kelly run up the lead here in a previous markup updates. because what they've been tabulating so far as the remaining early vote. ballots that arrived saturday, sunday, monday. now we are talking about something different. ballots were physically brought to the polls by voters on election day. republic

blake masters is up five points in this senate race just from september. so he's making a lot of head way. this race obviously is right now razor thin and one to watch. what we're watching in that state as far as independents, which is going to be key, look at maricopa county in the presidential election. that was key for that state. mark kelly polling well with independents and he has been. he continues to do so. 43% among independents say they would vote for mark kelly, the democrat. black master 25%. take note of that. independents will be key to watch on election night. top issues nor the senate race in arizona, it's all about inflation. they're dealing with the highest inflation in the country. i'll focus on maricopa county. 14%. highest in the nation. border security, up there at 20%. election integrity at 15%, abortion 15%. and education at 7%. also what we're watching in that state is the unemployment rate. it is above the national average. so the economy, just huge for voters on the ground in arizona. and you look at the west region, inflation. on
