technology. like so many of the blind and visually impaired people, he figured out how to make the world work for him. three years ago, he started the blind institute of technology. now, he talks to big businesses nationwide about what he calls in america. >> and they are sitting on the sidelines right now, unfortunately, it is for an organization to say, i will take that chance. >> reporter: mike has been visually impaired since birth. he was hired. the statistic at 80% of the blind and visually impaired communities unemployed? >> i am from florida and i found these folks are so intelligent and so in tune with everything around them, there is just no reason not to at least give them a chance. >> reporter: he does project management work for the company. he leans in to see the type. a simple accommodation for a dedicated and valuable employee.>> reporter: mike, as you go through your career, do you see yourself as an ambassador for other people and what they can bring to these types of jobs. >> we all want to contribute to the world. i have a two-year-old son at home. and i want to make the world that i want him to live in.>> jim reporting. mike ha
