assigned the good please help me i'm blind. my friend is kind of walked by them and, but then he stopped and he saw this guy only had a couple coins in his hat was so he dropped in a couple of quarters and then he asked the man permission to just change the story a little bit for this guy, which he did and later in the afternoon he came back and pass the guy again and the hut was full of coins of those and he stopped and talked to the guy in a blind man admitted have never had a day quite like this. you have to tell me what she wrote. how did you change my story? and my friend said i just added a couple of words and error please help me i'm blind and it's spring. it just change the whole story for the guy. we all have a story. maybe a couple stories people use to describe those. our families have a story about who we are to them and usually are often they involve a nickname we don't particularly care for. my father used to call me skippy. i have no idea why to this day. do we have many kids here? kids? a few. names we are known

students and faculty that were inside during the lockdown were told to keep their lights off and the blinds closed so any kind of light like that probably indicates that the police are up there and conducting their search in that area. i will say that the police officers coming in and out of the building seem very calm. no one is rushing in and out so the light at the top of the floor could be a good indication that the search is, you know, well underway on what might be the final floor of this building. we've been talking to students as they come out of the campus area and, again, as we said before, it's more of a partial lockdown now. one of the students who was in the tech building before said there was probably maybe 100 the 200 students in the whole building at one time mainly because it's finals week and they thought there were mainly about 60 people on the floor that he was on so it wasn't as active a day as it could have been but they said the police came in and they first heard an announcement and then the police came in and explained that a gunman had been spotted or had been repo

blind person.here may be some opportunities for people who are visually impaired. >> the director of our center is blind. she was telling us a story. she had a lot of fun playing bolling -- bowling. if you can remember what movement and where you had to do it, it is very fond -- very fun. bowling is one of the possibilities with the wii without having any adaptation, just having the remote and directing the person in the right spot. >> i have heard a couple of people have commented they cannot afford the wii. go to your local senior center. the broadband technology grant program has purchased about 40 systems to be distributed throughout the city. find out if your local senior center is part of that program and has a wii. i am going to be doing training with all of the senior center a activity directors in the next couple of weeks so that all of them will know how to supervise and manage and use the system. by this summer, there should be wii at a senior center near you. we urge you to try out this

so we are transitioning along with the national library service for the blind, in all the areas of our collection. you see behind me all these. cases these additional materials but if you look around you see a lot of cases in green. those are often filled with cassette materials. that will be obsolete. our challenge at the federal level, the challenge is how many of these older materials do we need to reconfigure into new formats so they will be available for people? how long can we afford to operate in several different modes, sometimes particularly older people find themselves once they learn a particular technology or particular piece of machinery they stick with it because they understand it. we try to be sensitive to individual needs but at the same time our goal is to get as much material available to as many people at the lowest possible cost as quickly as we can. the structure of the talking book library and national service to the blind is a structure based on federal statutes that permits the national library service which is part of the library of congress to secure copyrigh
