so you know, i'm not all that blish on this area. i see more and more democracies going down in the future. venezuela, you have nicaragua, you have ecuador, some of these other areas. where do you see democracy in the area? can you tell me about that? >> thanks for the question. i think we see the hemisphere largely united behind as i said in my opening remarks, the interamerican democratic charter. we've been working in the oas. we've seen a pretty significant amount of support in the oas to voice their opposition to undemocratic steps that are taken in countries like you've mentioned. you know, i think that we continue to do work to promote civil society, to engage with civil society and to enable you know, opposition parties to have a voice. we have supported those people in anything rag wag causing for early elections and acknowledged that. i think we're still working diligently on this. but you know, it's, you know, these are countries that several members have already noted that are not necessarily going to be -- they're not sq
