on some of your proposals when it comes to equity market structural reforms, you join the bloomberg tvk in march instead of market participants, give us your best advice. what was the best advice you got? >> well, in terms of equity market structure, we got thousands of comments. i would say that what we are about at the sec is trying to drive greater efficiency and competition. when you send in order to a broker that you feel like you're are getting best execution on that order, and also that the markets themselves are competitive, so one of our roles was about sort of leveling the playing field between the lid markets, and the wholesalers or dark market which at times, the dark part of the markets are between one third and one half of the market. trying to level the playing field and ensure that investors are getting best execution on these markets. >> what about in terms of the feedback you got? are you taking any of that on board? would you change anything? >> we do that as a regular basis. we put it out to public comment and get feedback and we put out four separate proposals for

this is bloomberg surveillance on tv and radio. i am jonathan ferro. ur monday morning started with equity futures slightly negative. one hour and 15 minutes away, secretary yellen catching up with bloomberg's annmarie. tom: the travels of secretary yellen, not only there but to europe. this is the near national secretary of the treasury that has to come home to serious domestic issues. one idea is the zeitgeist over the weekend of the ample amount of debt in america, which leads us to a linkage with japan and italy for amount of debt out there. jonathan: looking forward to her view on that topic. we talked about a range of banks that have come out. citigroup and morgan stanley and jp morgan and socgen, take your pick, cutting expectations for growth in china this year. tom: what does that mean for you -- lisa: what does that mean for europe or the luxury sector? we heard of some sort of decline with concern around china sales. how much has the recovery fueled some of the wagers overseas that perhaps might be losing steam. this is some of the questions
