in bloomington where i live, he had spent so much time in bloomington -- he spent more time in bloomington than anywhere other than springfield. our newspaper said this is not just a presidents, not just the leader of our nation, this was a friend and neighbor of ours that we have lost. we feel in a personal way. that was true up and down the tracks. a tremendous loss to the people of illinois, because he was so popular and spent so much time on all the towns in the circuit. it is called "the land of lincoln," that is the motto of our state. many things to say about lincoln, they are always true. they are too good to be chewed but they are. because lincoln was a circuit lawyer and practice not just in springfield but in the 14 counties across central illinois he was gone half the year and all these towns. he traveled all over the state. he really was a citizen of illinois. i want to mention one thing about the funeral. we cannot quite understand now. we have seen so much tragedy and we are almost used to assassinations, unfortunately. this man was so loved by the people of the country, bec

wmsp is live in bloomington, minnesota, some travelers are -- goodness. right. they have already hit the road. i guarantee you some of these people are already heading out of town. a lot of people actually leaving yesterday. some just going to work. regardless, millions of people will be hittinged roads, flying the skies, getting out of town for this three-day holiday weekend, and as you mentioned, very, very busy. already on the roadways. aaa actually predicting 37 million people will be driving at least 50 miles away this memorial day weekend. . 3 million -- 33 million of the 37 will actually drive. an increase from last year. experts say stronger economy, lower gas prices and lower airfare have a lot of people planning trips. as for out of town destinations, las vegas, cancun, chicago, new york city as well, big cities, airports, of course, expected to be busier than usual with an increase of 2.5% heading out ceia airplane this year over last year. i mentioned, gas prices definitely better's here in the metro talking $2.64 a gallon. national average, $
