brian hickey is live with a look at the conditions, would you, from blue canyon. looks like a real blizzard behind you. >> it's actually very good right now. yesterday, it was a blizzard. it was whiteout conditions on interstate 880 and that's what closed the freeway. good news for those stuck at the north end of lake tahoele they decided to get home, decided to spend the night, yes. chain controls from gold run all the way over to the nevada state run. you can see here at this live picture, the road is snowy but pretty smooth and clear. we're seeing cars coming by with no trouble. you just have to have the complained a -- chains and snowshowers. you will be fine getting through the mountain. as long as you obey that 0-mile- per-hour speed limit. but there's no wind. just a nice, steady snowfall. some of the ski resorts are literally digging out. more snow is on the way this week. i hope they have their shovels and snow caps ready. sno-cats ready. it's not over yet. >> i'm just curious, with they hoping the ski resorts will stay open maybe longer than usual this y
