peter defazio and representative blumenauer are leaders in late rail and transit area. that is a nice bipartisan issue. we didn't used to be. a lot of us who represent rural areas outside the metro service districts, nice to have a robust bus system and that will be part of what comes forward. we have to make sure this is not an urban centric transportation bill. the biggest issue in my district is highway that runs around the outside of portland called i-205 where the highway goes down to two and crosses a bridge. we need to fix the bridge and make sure the lanes are widened. a that will be a popular project. we have a stiff process in oregon where every city and every county works with the prioritization of their projects. it's not political. they have to sell their project based on the merits. they come up to the top and my job is to advocate for those. i rely on my state to come up with their designated projects that i would be advocating for is projects of regional and national significance. our traffic jams in the portland area are as bad as washington, .c., we ne
