a prominent boardwalk landmark symbolic of the fading allure of casino gambling in atlantic city. revel was supposed to pump new life into the town targeting an up market crowd. the crowds never came. the casino went through two bankruptcies. it has become another domino as one casino after another falls. the atlantic club closed in january. the showboat closed this past sunday and the trump plaza will close in two weeks. the closings are a body blow to the local economy putting 6200 people out of work. the mood was grim at the revel last night as many of the 3200 employees clocked out for the last time. >> very serious. usually have fun, goof off and everything but we took it very serious did our jobs, in and out. >> reporter: looking live at the gaming floor, the lights still on on the slots machines but nobody is in there now. they've all been ushered out of this casino for the last time. so, what is next for atlantic city? that remains to be seen and it will be the subject of a bipartisan summit meeting of local and state officials next week. live in atlantic city, david henry
