fox5's bob barnard is in the lake barcroft area with more.ood morning. >> reporter: hey, good morning, allison. yes, we're on rustic way lane here in falls church. this is what we've seen all over this area. take a look. this is a big tree that fell. you see a lot of power lines down, some houses have been hit, some cars have bee it's interesting, the power lines are down in this area but this is not one of the neighborhoods without electricity. you see the tree fell right here from this person's yard but if you look over, you can see in their front window there, they have electricity. there's a la lamp on. as you mentioned we've been doing some checking. in this northern virginia area there were 1300 customers without power about an hour ago now its up to 1435. some people are finding out maybe me got through the night but now they're losing their electricity as you mentioned dominion power crews are out. there are a number of crews along columbia pike between braddock road and the lake barcroft dam so they're trying to get power back there.
