bob beckel is a former fox news host. and michelle bernard is an independent political analyst and huffington post writer. how long does it last? >> i think it lasts a lot longer than people think. last i looked he's still around. this guy sucks more air out of the wound than anybody else. and you can imagine being one of the other 16 republicans, the only time you get any air time is you got to attack trump and that's dangerous. or you have to do something to follow-up on trump. here's the point. who is donald trump? who he is is not a politician. what does help stand for? what washington stands against. in other words, he's a guy that has tapped a vein in the american body of politics. much like ross perot did in the '90s. in fact, go back to george wallace when he took votes away from democrats. i think trump has some staying power here and he's got the money to stay in and the rest of them can't find oxygen. >> michelle bernard, does he have enough saying power to ultimately capture the gop nomination? >> i don't thin

joining me, political analyst, bob beckel, columnist for "usa today." to see you on television. i miss you on the tube. >> you know, don. i miss you too. now we are back, reunited together. a very important day for america. >> let's just talk about this for a second. how many people predicted the demise of donald trump in the last six, seven months. he is still around as far as i can tell. and it is a phenomenon in politicize have not seen since ross perot. amazing. >> you know, you are right. i always say if anybody is running for president, for office. i always take them seriously. always taken donald trump seriously. i think people have underestimated him. did you watch the interview earlier, the fund raiser to night? what did you think? >> i watched it. i was just stunned. look the -- trump is getting money. forget this thing for a second. who ever that dude that sells cars. the fact of the matter its that trump is getting money from blue-collar workers who send him checks for $250. why? who is donald trump. it's not who he is, it's who he isn't. no
