senators bob casey and fetterman from pennsylvania reads a straight faced news reports bipartisan introducingegislation aimed at preventing freight train derailments like the one last month in east palestine, ohio. here is a guy getting around the clock psychiatric care deciding how to prevent train derailments. there are some questions here. the most obvious one is a logistical question how is john fetterman doing this if is he in the psych ward and we don't know because no one will say. fetterman's chief of staff, a man called adam gentleson is blocking anyone who dares to ask that question on social media, on twitter, for example. stephen miller of the last white house asked gentleson this adam who is cosigning and introducing legislation from senator fetterman's office while he himself is currently hospitalized and under current medical observation? oh, no answer? no answer? gentleson just blocked stephen miller in response. so, the problem with this is not john fetterman himself. once again, it's impossible not to feel sad for john fetterman or anyone else who suffers from mental illness

i spoke to bob casey a few days ago, he said it's not that he's supporting republicans on this, but he's they should be raising penalties not lowering them. now other democrats like elizabeth warren will be voting against this. she said this is stomping on washington d.c., those are her words and there are other democrats that, of course, will be voting against this. but on the whole we'll see bipartisan support in favor of the resolution that will block the d.c. crime bill and the president angering some democrats on this. when it went through the house he had not said what he would do if it gets to him, veto it or let it be. when he came to speak to democrats he said he would let it be, would not vieto it and some 123 democrats voting against the measure rescinding the bill felt they were you on hung out to dry on this issue. >> the debate over whether congress should meddle in the district's affairs is contentious. >> and there is this issue of d.c. statehood but on this specific issue of crime as you mentioned this is a popular attack line from republicans something that democrats do
