and if you look at the other things they polled people on, bob casey, who is the current u.s.democrat from pennsylvania. is he leading dave mccormick by 6 points. casey is actually out performing joe biden and it's the support of the independents who are helping mr. casey. just goes to show you that it is essentially tied at the top of the ticket when it comes to the president. >> ainsley: they also looked at the republican rivals and trump is ahead. number two in that state in pennsylvania is ron desantis. number three is nikki haley, but it's different than that in the state of new hampshire when republican -- when they asked if the republican primary for president were held today, who would you vote for or toward whom do you lean at this time? trump number one. 49%. but look at this nikki haley is number two now. she is ahead of almost double ron desantis. >> brian: chris christie dropped in the latest poll. i guess this is the "boston globe" suffolk university poll has 500 people. i think it's important to point out that ron desantis is going all n iowa. is he moving his e

in that race, bob casey leads republican dave mccormick by six points, 50% to 44%.on pennsylvania by less than two points in the 2020 general election after trump narrowly defeated former secretary of state hillary clinton there four years earlier. also, john fetterman ran ahead of biden's numbers when he claimed his seat last year. a major point for the biden team. joining us now, the author of white house and politics team leader for bloomberg, as well as author of a new analysis up about the republicans and their efforts to convince americans that they can govern. let's talk about that, mario. right now, people think of the republican party and see chaos, and they should. what has happened in the house of representatives, they ousted a speaker of their own party. seems to be undermining some of their more effective messages heading into the next cycle. give us your analysis. >> absolutely. if you look at the calendar today, jonathan, we're 13 months out before the presidential election. republicans have that amount of time to kind of right the ship, but there's n

millionaire, dave mccormack, has announced he is challenging incumbent pennsylvania democrat senator bob caseying about david mccormack is, he lives in connecticut.
