calling for an investigation into what they say is "pay-to- play politics" involving the city's mayoral election. aldermen bobioretti, scott waguespack and john arena cite a published report that since 2011, mayor emanuel has accepted 600 thousand dollars in campaign contributions from financial firms that manage city pension funds. they have asked the securities and exchange commission, the city's inspector general and the board of ethics to investigate the donations. fioretti says he plans to run chicago is not for sale. we are demanding a full investigation in disgorgement to the funds that were given to the mayor's campaign. >> he says he plans to run against mayor emanuel in the spring. an emanuel spokesman says the contributions are legal and that the mayor has stiffened the ethics and contributions rules since he's been in office. state lawmakers could impose tougher rules on ride-sharing companies, while the city of chicago issues licenses to two of them. in august, governor quinn vetoed bills that set stricter standards and allowed insurance companies to deny coverage. legislators may try to override
