today senator bob huff will urge a committee to reject the latest business plan submitted. the first major stretch would be built from bakersfield to san jose. caltrain is increasing the number of cars from 2 to 3 on many of its trains. trains carry 7,000 bicycles each day, but it's not enough because trains are often full and people with bikes sometimes are not allowed to board. cycling advocates say they see multiple benefits. >> this is a win for everybody, not just bicyclists. it means that if folks can use the train with their bikes, they're not going to be on the roads clogging the streets. >> today caltrain officials and two bike coalitions celebrated at the caltrain depot in san francisco. in another upgrade caltrain plans to add an extra car for passengers on more trains as it refurbishes its aging fleet. >>> b.a.r.t. is still trying to fix an electrical problem between two east bay stations. there is no regular train service between pittsburgh bay point and north concord martinez, and passengers have to use shuttle buses. over the weekend b.a.r.t. ran trains to te
