we are joined now by democratic senator bob menendez of miami. he is on capitol hill.d of this hearing, senator, what is the main question you would like secretary pompeo to answer? senator menendez: we have two lines of questioning, one is about russia and what really happened. we do not know what happened in that two-hour meeting that president trump had with putin on his own. did he make any commitments to easing russia sanctions, changing our nato structure in terms of military exercises? did he give anything up on ukraine and crimea? did he change our posture in syria? there is a much to try to the national security to the united and since north korea, we have not had a briefing in the capital on senators about what happened at all. these are two critically important issues we will be covering the secretary about. scarlet: let's tackle the first one, russia. some democrats are calling for the interpreters in the one-on-one meeting to testify what was actually said between the two men. is that something you would support, and with this create a dangerous precedent?
