"today in the bay" bob redell has been at the scene all morning long. how is it looking now, bob?a good two hours right now. you have a quarter acre of pallets here in a pallet factory at harbor and industry that started a blaze around 3:00 this morning and one thing that the battalion chief with the contra costa fire department pointed out is when you have that much wood and that much air in between the pieces of wood you are going to have a fire that's not only going to burn fast but burn big which was the case. this was a two-alarm fire. one of the big challenges for the fire department when they first arrived, was the fact that they had a dangling power line that was energizing the chain-link fence on the perimeter. for the first 20 minutes while they waited for pg&e to arrive the fire department had to start attacking this from above with a ladder hose until the pg&e crews were able to come out here and turn off the power. this he did get this fire out within about an hour. we did ask the battalion chief if there was anything suspicious about what happened last night. >> it's
