bob redell is live. any arrests? >> reporter: not as of yet. a police officer on the scene did tell us they have a suspect description but they have not found this person yet. we're at police headquarters, a couple of miles from here. this is video we shot in the past hour. this is just off northbound highway 87 before the 280-680 connecter just south of the downtown area. with shooting happenedin the 10:00 hour last night in a homeless encampment off the freeway. a man and woman were both shot. one of them did die at the scene, the other was taken to the hospital. we don't have details on what led up to the shooting and we don't know of any arrests as of yet. as a result, part of northbound 87, the far right lane, is shut down for a short time. but so far, it wasn't having too much impact on the traffic because it's just a short closure and we know that the police department is waiting for the sun to come up, which is coming up right now, so they can get a better look at the scene in the daylight and then they will eventually be shutting down
