then i got out of the air force and i was looking for a job and i got a job with the boeing helicopter company outside of philadelphia. i was building aircraft for couple years and then one day my wife saw this advertisement in a paper. she said have you ever heard of the secret service uniform officers. i said i've never heard of them i heard of the secret service but not this division. they said you had have a college degree and i said it was gonna work so i went to work at boeing but things were slowing down and i filled out this application for the secret service uniformed division and it took about three months and i got a phone call back. it took me two and half years to get to the point where they did enough background check where they thought i was a reliable person and then they started giving me the test. you have to give urine test and polygraph test and the polygraph test took me five and half hours you would think after five 1/2 hours they would've given up but i finally got through that and i'm then i was down in maryland for training. i was back in maryland to finish up my train
