boksburg the open access program would do that for cabdrivers and passengers. currently the program is off the table because they said it would ruin their business. the truth is, john [unintelligible] has been reticent about developing that aspect of his business for some years. with open taxi access, every person in san francisco with a hand-held device would be able to see all of the cabs in san francisco. all of the people meandering around would be able to find their cab within a few blocks. touch the screen, speak to the driver nearby, just to pick them up. they would be able to say yes, that is me waving. i cannot imagine a better program. something that would empower the people more. it would make every person into their own dispatcher. it would be the google map of dispatch. service has nothing to do with the number of cabs on the road. it only begins when the passenger gets in the vehicle and that can only happen with this batch. please revisit the program. it would be a fantastic way of gaining driver support showing that good will with 4% of the mone
