let's check in with bonnie schneider to see. hey, bonnie. >> hi, natasha.a are great and on the jersey shore, lots of sunshine. down in florida it's been stormy. check this out. we have partly cloudy skies in hilton head and scattered storms for daytona beach. it's warm in the 80s and we'll watch for scattered showers and thunderstorms. you can see already we're getting them in miami for today, so be prepared for a downpour. the national forecast also looks for heavier rain in and around the desert southwest. we are going to see fair conditions up to the great lakes and the northeast which means for nice conditions. as we look toward tomorrow for labor day we are anticipating showers and even mountain snow for areas in the higher elevation of the northwest, stormy across the south, that would be beneficial for texas, it's been really dry across south texas. cooler conditions, you can see across areas into the upper midwest. check out highs tomorrow, 78 in chicago but lows will drop into the 50s. you're getting an early taste of fall, appropriately so as thi

bonnie schneider keeping an eye on the weather, all week pretty much they didn't have weather cooperating. there wasn't wind, that was a good thing for the first few days. how is the weather going to treat them out there in. >> they didn't have the strong winds, t.j. and brooke but they had extremely scorching temperatures. right now as we look at the map, we're looking at really in terms of temperature, temperatures that are a lot cooler than where they were last this time last week. in glendale, it is 63 degrees. high temperatures in and around the los angeles area will climb to i'd say about 82, 83 degrees. so we are going to see some improvements in the weather. it's definitely not going to be as hot. it's also going to be a nice day in and around the new york city, metropolitan area. we have a live picture of central park to show you, a string of great weather days for this holiday weekend. it's a little hazy. you can see the reservoir in the distance to the north, and a beautiful weekend for those of you headed to the beaches on long island and the hamptons. nice conditions there. c

. >>> i'm cnn meteorologist bonnie schneider. for those of you planning a beach get away for the remainder of the holiday weekend you'll find good conditions in some beaches up in the northeast. the gulf coast and flr flr stormy conditions. temperatures changing through the afternoon. hot in texas but cool up into new england. the holiday forecast calls for cooler weather through the great lakes. stormy down in texas. if it gets south of areas into san antonio that would be beneficial. so dry there. hot temperatures across most of the west. we'll look for monsoonal moisture to bring rain to places like phoenix, arizona, as we go through the weekend. up to 91 in dallas. 74 in chicago. looking from a high of 67 in boston and 85 which is actually cooler here in atlanta. let's take a look at the forecast for tomorrow. as we look at the board you'll see not much of a change for labor day itself. hot in phoenix. 98 degrees. 93, hot for billings, montana. 80 in minneapolis, 90 in tampa, florida. that is a look at your labor day forecast
