joining is bonnie schneider. i love this book, it's what people need. you need a plan.t there. let's start with the ice and the snow storms like what we're seeing in colorado. >> so far this winter in new york we've had a little bit of snow. it came early in october. >> it knocked my power out for five days! >> it's been mild but it's not over yet. you have to be prepared for winter storms and unfortunately, when it comes to winter storms, most of the accidents occur when people are driving. 70% of people are impacted when they're driving with snow and ice and it causes injuries. >> what about floods? what should we do when eventually the stuff is going to melt and there could be some floods? >> flooding, you really want to make sure that you're ready if you have to leave your house. so you want to plan ahead an evacuation route and, of course, avoid travel. most people that are caught in their car really find a problem happening very quickly. it takes six inches of water to dislodge your car. never try to walk through or drive through water. you don't know how deep it
