bonnie schneider joins me at the severe weather center. , this doesn't look like it's going to be ending anytime soon in terms of the damage. what about the storm itself? >> we are dealing with severe weather across parts of the southeast. there's no tornado watches or warnings as of present. it's incredible looking back at yet. this is google earth. we put down how many tornadoes occurred. 730 reports of severe weather. 95 reports of tornadoes. that is an incredibly high number. we are getting reports in. once they get around to heading out to all the locations, it's going to take awhile. they are will be able to determine how strong the tornadoes were, where the path was and how wide as well. looking at the severe weather threat, here is what we are facing. heavy rain. there's a flash flood warning to the northeast of atlanta. we are watching for severe weather to break out. this is a training effect. imagine trains going across the track in the same place over and over again. we are seeing severe thunderstorm warnings popping up over sou

but first we want to check in with our bonnie schneider who's keeping up with the latest watches and ngs. bonnie? >> we have two tornado warnings right now. they're stretching over two states, georgia as well as florida. take a look. the first one is covering a portion of florida and georgia right along the border. let's zoom in and i'll show you where it is. it's really -- we receive a lot of strong storms to the east of tallahassee. let's zoom in. it looks like another one pops up in advance of this one, affecting cities like havana, quincy. right now it's affecting decatur county in southwest georgia. this tornado warning continuing until 10:45 eastern time. it all began around 9:54. right now the movement of this storm system is at 35 miles an hour. you can see the original tornado warning just to the west of it. now we head to southern georgia. this is southeast georgia. i have good news to report as we speak. this was a tornado warning but luckily it's expired and now judging by the orange box you see here, it is now a severe thunderstorm warning not to be taken lightly as well

. >>> and bonnie schneider, are you into the bracket thing? admit, not really. >> neither are we sdm. >> well, we know you are into the weather right now. what's going on? >> for sure. that's a given. we'll start off, unfortunately, fred, we have weather we're watching, thunderstorms working their way across virginia. we were talking about the storms in south carolina earlier this afternoon. now, virginia impacted. two tornado warnings in effect. this is in southwest section of the state. into areas here, storms getting close to producing a tornado. we haven't seen that indicated there. they're capable of that. that's true for areas near ferrum in virginia. these warnings will expire, 5:15, 5:30, but it's important to note there's a wider area here that includes virginia and north carolina in the center of the state, including raleigh, durham, and the triangle area. this will go to the evening hours as well as the thunderstorm watch you see that goes pretty far south, down to jacksonville, florida. and here is a look at strong, powerful storms
