boris sanchez, what are you hearing? >> we learned that white house officials are considering releasing a transcript of this conversation between president trump and his ukrainian counterpart. one source telling cnn these transcripts could potentially be released soon, but they wouldn't give a more specific timetable. they're going over specific details, considerations like what format these transcripts would be released. and what redactions if any they would need to make. publicly we've seen the disagreements between president trump and some within his own administration, the president wants these transcripts released. his press secretary saying this may set a bad precedent. what we're hearing going on behind closed doors, officials are concerned that potentially releasing these transcripts could open up the white house to have to release other transcripts of conversations president trump has had with other world leaders. there is concern about what the president might say, conversely, there are some in the white house

cnn's white house correspondent, boris sanchez, joins us now. boris, what more have you learned? >> yeah, ana. this memo coming from the national weather service, giving a very thinly veiled reference to the president's tweets and this ongoing controversy about what the president said, regarding a warning to the people of alabama about hurricane dorian. it effectively tells staffers at the national weather service to be quiet and to not raise any of their opinions about this whole controversy, even though president trump has not stopped weighing in. he tweeted about it several times this weekend. again, we should be clear. when the president tweeted out this warning to the people of alabama, hurricane dorian had already shifted. it was not threatening the people of alabama at that point at all. the president insists, though, that the press has got this wrong. here's an excerpt from an email that was sent out, ordering that this memo be sent out to nws staffers. it tells staffers to, quote, only stick with official national hurricane center forecasts. if questions arise from some
