they are blue collar guys who were sort of born on the wrong side of the tracks and they rise to fame. these are average guys who happened to write some killerse of decades and what happened to them when that happened. and then it kind of falls apart in the second act and then it all comes back together. it's a pretty cool story. reporter: john, talk a little bit about your character. >> well, my character is tommy devito and he's sort of the problem child of the group. the guy gets mixed up in the mob and has gambling problems, without giving away any part of the story, you know, he really kind of takes the group down the wrong path, and the whole piece is about watching this sort of path of redemption and fighting their way out of it. preston, speaking of problems, don't hold back, i can tell you're the problem child of the group, have there been any mishaps while you've been touring or here in d.c. with all the shows? >> funny stories or mishaps. we get the occasional rowdy audience member and we'll get random things shouted at us or whistled on stage and, you know, we have to deal with it. we're professionals and put it into the work and
