area and from their borough market area and from their borough market beyond that is southwarkat direction is fitting to what we've heard. i spoke to a security manager in this area who looks after the security staff working in pubs and bars and he's given me the names of a number of different bars and pubs where he thinks there were attacks going on. the two are very close and that means they are very likely to be linked. i know this from talking to a colleague on a radio network a few minutes ago, the 5 live programme on—air at the moment has spoken to a man, an eyewitness, who spoke to an attacker with a red and black top, the man i spoke to agree with that, s0 the man i spoke to agree with that, so this is piecing together information that feels a bit more confirmed but the health warning stays in place, these are eyewitness reports and they can be wrong. indeed. the prime minister has gone s0 indeed. the prime minister has gone so far as to say that it is being treated as a potential act of terror and the cobra committee meets tomorrow, the emergency committee that convene

you can see the furthest blue, flashing light, a short distance from the borough markets area. market is a farmers market where people go for lunch. it is surrounded by bars and restaurants. it is opposite london bridge station where people go to head home after a night out in central london. putting together eyewitness reports, only eyewitness reports, which can be wrong, but the eyewitnesses we spoke to say a van ploughed into people on the southern end of london bridge, i was told by people in a pub that it was told by people in a pub that it was on the corner of the bridge, that grey, possibly four man, got out, armed with knives. —— three, possible four men,. one was mediterranean in terms of skin colour and had a black and red top on and had a long knife. i asked if it was a breadknife sized weapon and the eyewitness said he felt it was a long kitchen knife. they ran towards london bridge and, sorry, borough markets, went and attacked people. we have reports from a security manager who looks after security in a number of the pubs and bars in that location. he said his coll

a restaurant at the borough market, people were stabbed. let me read you from what we're hearing from another eyewitness inside a restaurant there. this is at elliott's restaurant who tells us they were at the front of a restaurant when a load of people started running up the street from borough market. someone said, what is going on? and one of the people running said there was a man with a knife up there and he is coming this way. there was complete panic as everyone ran to the back of the restaurant and tried to hide themselves from view. a man suddenly appeared in the restaurant with a massive knife. some people in the restaurant believe there may have been another man but it was so chaotic, it was hard to tell. the man stabbed a waitress hiding behind a partition and stabbed her in the neck. he stabbed another man in the back and then he ran out of the restaurant. again, this coming to us from an eyewitness involved in secondary incident. it's unclear if the incidents are connected but police are responding to both areas. police tellin

the vehicle continued to drive from london bridge to borough market.he suspects left the vehicle, attempting to stab a number of people including an on duty british transport police officer who was responding. he received serious injuries, fortu nately received serious injuries, fortunately not life—threatening. his family have been informed. officers then responded bravely and quickly and confronted the suspects who were shot and killed in borough market. the suspects had been confronted and shot by police within eight minutes of the first call. the suspects were wearing what looked like an explosive vest that were later established to be hoaxes. the ongoing operation is led by the met working closely with british transport police, and the ambulance and fire services full of at this stage we believe that sadly, six people have died in addition to the three attackers shot by police. there are at least 20 casualties taken to six hospitals across london but numbers are still rising. i would like to repeat our request for londoners to avoid the areas of l

they headed towards the borough market area. d market popular with tourists, lots of different stalls and bars that have grown up over the years around that market. one eyewitness i spoke to date a clear description of what he saw, he is interesting because he is a security guard who manages a number of different pubs and bars in that borough market area —— today. he said he had a call from a colleague at another bar saying people had been stabbed in that bar, a bar in the borough market. he went over to see what was going on. he describes people running away and screaming, he carried on thinking there was a fight going on or something and he said he saw three men, one with a red and black top, and he gave me another description, this will be slightly alarming but don't be alarmed, this is what he said, it doesn't mean it is anything in particular, but he said he saw a man who had canisters kept to his abdomen. that's one eyewitness, he may be in shock, he may not know what he was looking at but that is what he was looking at but
