our latest bowie report, winds gusting to 22 miles per hour. that is right around the bay bridge. as far as temperatures for today, not much of a change from yesterday's high. you can see the warmest locations inland in the 80s, upper 80s nor concord. san francisco 63 degrees and san jose, the mid 70s. so typically this time of year, we are talking about the hot numbers inland. we usually have this, a marine layer, but this has been deepening to around 2500 feet. as a result, that cooler air being pushed all the way inland and this pattern sticks around through tomorrow. first thing tomorrow morning, overnight lows will be in the low to mid 50s. once again, a return of the drizzle, coast side, and also right around the bay. so off to a cool start first thing tomorrow morning. this area of low pressure has been in full command of our weather, it sticks around for your friday. temperatures not warming up too much. warmest location around 80 degrees. high pressure begins to return and as a result, you can see readings will warm things up. morning fog clearing back to the coast. tempe

you can see it here in prince george's county and down south of alexandria, but bowie to crofton, mitchellville, upper marlboro getting all this very heavy rain. this is moving east at 25 miles an hour. a lot of lightning with it, not seeing as much in the way of hail, but the rate of rain which i'm going to click on here is showing us there are a couple spots in here and right around the upper marlboro area you could be getting 2 inches of rain per hour. these are areas where i'd be a little concerned now about more flash flooding returning and we do know there are a number of flash flood warnings including the district and a portion of montgomery and arlington. let's look at these storms in three dimensions. we show you this because it shows you which area has the tallest updraft that equals the strongest storm, the heaviest rain, possible winds of 40 to 50 miles per hour. that thing is moving east. i think you can probably expect to sample a little bit of that in anne arundel and calvert county. there is a storm getting ready, not as big of an updraft, around the dale city area. we'll watch
