[applause]. i am told if you want to ask a question we have a microphone here. just one? go ahead, mark. you have been waiting. >> sometimes justices will actually read their dissents or portions of their dissents in open court and i wondered if you have any comments on that practice. >> it's a rare practice usually done for punctuation when they usually feel strongly about it. one of the things i feel was it helped that an end to reading all opinions from the bench, was that his was so long that someone could sit through them. ever since i think the 50s and 60s the chief justice will announce a case, the writer of the majority opinion will say we find in favor of and give a short very short summary of why and then may note there the scent of the dissenters say if they want to also give a short summary, but sometimes th
