bp has been involved in some large acquisitions recently. of the largest deals it took in 2018 and that is a sizable french utility. na --hinking about that puts it in line in terms of annualized cap ex with others. alix: how much will they need to be spending, give me your time frame? ecuador says they will spend 15 to 20% of their cap ex on clean energy by 2030. that is a huge growth from where they are today. they are at .5 billion similar to others. you will need to see significant redistribution of cap ex. oil companiesr will get the returns they want from power to incentivize that move. alix: thank you. let's turn to commodities. we focus on one executive in the commodities world. bleak, thethony van ing head of finance are in a quick look at his blockchain oil venture. >> this is how energy trading works. reducers and traders go through thousands of transactions each year and banks pony up short-term loans. it takes time, money, and paperwork. enter ing. in 2017 the bank together an unlikely group. banks, oil companies and trading hou
