edward, thank you. connell: brad blakeman joins us. the as edward said it, sums it up nicely. a lot going on, democrats starting with impeachment today. likes of jerry nadler pushing forward. nay pelosi, last thing she wants to be asked about. what is your take on the dynamics down there? >> it's a complete overreach. the american people don't buy it. they have been like the boy who cried wolf. they said, let's wait until the special counsel's report comes out on trump, then we're going to start impeachment because then we've got him. guess what? he was cleared by that report. and by the way, if it was such a danger to the republic as democrats allege, why did they take the summer off? wouldn't you work, burn the midnight oil to get rid of somebody who is such a danger to the nation that you have to take this extraordinary constitutional step to get rid of him? this is politics at its purest sense, something the american people cannot stand. i think they gave a great gift to donald trump. connell: that is what i was going to ask about.
