prosecutor braden hoefert had a story for the jury in the trial of chris kruse. a true story, he told them. and pretty simple. the killing of jan kruse was an inside job. nothing had been missing from the house. and so this was clearly, a premeditated murder. keith morrison: committed by the one person in a position to do it said the prosecutor, the husband, chris kruse. the evidence? well, for one thing, he told the jury, there were all those hours of police interviews full of, he said, inconsistencies. he played them for the jury. the version of events changes over time. and it, also, does not appear to be possible based off of the physical evidence. so break that down a little bit. he gave a similar version in the first two interviews. jan was asleep or lying down when she is shot. but the me's report clearly established that she had her hand outstretched in the direction of the assailant, which, of course, meant that she was awake and saw the person who did this to her. keith morrison: it was only after the autopsy report was explained to chris, the prosecuto

i want to go straight to anderson cooper, who is a down and braden ten anderson. where are you now and what are you seeing around you? >> yes. so we justst moved abou 100 feet back to the location where we were at the save 9:00 at the top of the 9:00 hour if you remember, at that point the water had just started in. waves coming over onto the riverwalk, was the manatee river right now, it is just i mean, this my feed. there's probably four or five inches of water here. it is just flowing directly from the river over onto the ground here and it's moving about. i mean, it's it's probably about 150 feet or so from the river just covering this whole area along the riverwalk? it's hard to see because it's so dark, but the waves now are just there's big whitecaps. there are full-on waves. it looks like you're at the ocean. but as the manatee river and the wind is just bringing all this water and just pushing this water onshore the ground up here. it it rises up. so the water is not going very, very far, but it is. i mean, this whole area along the riverwalk is underwate
