or it's just about brady? >> reporter: this is just about brady.rady. the other penalties that were handed out earlier this year, they were accepted by the franchise, by the owner of the patriots, bob kraft. he accepted a hefty fine. he later said when the four-game suspension came down that he regretted agreeing to that. but those are franchise penalties, that's been adjudicated. the owner agreed to those months ago. this is an appeal by tom brady. the judge here obviously had said that he wanted the two sides -- he wanted the nfl and brady's camp to reach some kind of a compromise on the original four-game suspension. there were some discussions and wrangling over the last few weeks. but they weren't able to reach a compromise. and when you listen to what the judge has been saying and how this has been playing out, the judge basically said to the nfl, you didn't prove it. there's all sorts of suspicion. there's all sorts of reasons to suspect that tom brady had some involvement or some knowledge in a deflation scheme with the footballs but you di
